Congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies. They had a great season and played a great series. Also, congratulations to their fans -- it's been a long time since they could celebrate. I bet it's a huge party in that city tonight.
Also, congratulations to the Rays and their fans, especially the fans that have been with them from the beginning. It probably stinks right now, but it was a great season. They should be very proud.
And now I'm bummed that another season is over. And it doesn't promise to be an interesting off-season, at least as far as the Twins are concerned. Only 3 1/2 months until pitchers and catchers report.

It's hard to imagine how any off season could be as compelling as last year's was for the Twins.
I wish Tampa would've won, but it's not like the Phillies go to the World Series every year either, so good for them.
I guess we'll have to spend the time 'til spring training starts doing productive non-baseball things.
